Principal's Report

Run Warrandyte – A great community event Supporting our local community sporting clubs.
Run Warrandyte was once again a wonderful celebration of fitness, community spirit, and support for local sports clubs. It was fantastic to see so many ACPS students and families running together, proudly wearing their ACPS singlets. Events like these highlight the importance of staying active and the value of community sport in fostering teamwork, resilience, and a love for physical activity. A big thank you to the organisers and volunteers who work tirelessly to provide opportunities for young people to participate in local sport.
National Young Leaders Day – Inspiring the Next Generation
Our school captains recently attended the National Young Leaders Day, an annual event designed to inspire and empower student leaders across the country. Hosted by the Halogen Foundation, this event brings together thousands of young leaders to hear from influential Australians who share their journeys, challenges, and lessons in leadership.
This year’s event featured a great panel of speakers, including screenwriter and author Thomas Duncan-Watt, Olympian Emma McKeon, AFL player Majak Daw, and actress Catherine Laga'aia. Each speaker shared their unique experiences, emphasising perseverance, resilience, and the importance of leadership in different fields. Our captains came away feeling motivated and full of ideas about how they can make a difference within our school and beyond. Adding to the excitement, the trip to and from the city became a friendly competition in itself, as we engaged in a very competitive game of ‘Toppo,’ spotting Tesla cars along the way :)
Division Swimming
A huge congratulations to Piper and Alex who competed at Division Swimming this week. Piper placed 5th in the 50m Freestyle and Alex secured 4th place in the 50m Backstroke in a competitive filed of squad swimmers. Anna also made the Division Competition but unfortunately she was unwell and unable to compete on the day. We know you would have done great though! Well done girls we are all really proud of your achievements.

We would also love your help in running our ACPS Food Stall. This is a major fundraiser for ACPS but does take many hands to help it run smoothly. Please add your name here if you can help: Warrandyte Festival Roster
