Congratulations

Congratulations to Mietta Livingstone (11 Frew), who was honoured at the recent Bendigo South Rotary Club meeting as the recipient of the club's Tom Glazebrook Scholarship for a student entering Year 11 at the 2024 Speech Night ceremony.

Mietta delivered an impressive five-minute presentation outlining her educational aspirations for 2025 and beyond, showcasing how the scholarship will help her achieve her academic goals. We are very proud of Mietta's accomplishments and look forward to seeing all the great things she will achieve in her educational journey!

Congratulations to Remy van Staveren and Saige Armour (8 Jenkin) who recently achieved first in the under 14 TK2 sprints (double kayak). Both Remy and Saige also competed in solo sprints and marathon races on the day.

One of their coaches is an Old Girtonian and paddling champion, James Humphry. As part of the BAS Canoe Program, they train at Lake Weeroona twice an week and learn flat water, wild water and sea kayaking. Well done to both students!

Congratulations to Aaliyah Greenwell (10 Frew), who has just returned from Boyland in Queensland after competing in the Barefoot Waterskiing National Championships, where she placed fourth in Australia. Well done, Aaliyah, for this phenomenal achievement!

A big congratulations to Jaggar Naidoo (5D) and Emelia Carlson (5V) who both achieved their 5km swims at Paul Saddler on Saturday.
