Be Someone’s Lifesaver — Join EMC’s Lifeblood Team Today!
Did you know that just one donation can save up to three lives?
At Elisabeth Murdoch College, we’re proud to be part of Lifeblood’s mission — and we’re calling on our entire Langwarrin community to help us make an even bigger impact.
So far this year, the EMC Lifeblood team has:
- 74 members
- Made 31 donations
- Saved up to 93 lives — and counting!
But there’s still work to do. Lifeblood needs 100,000 new donors every year to meet the ongoing needs of patients around the country. That’s where we — and you — come in.
Whether you donate whole blood, plasma, or platelets, every appointment counts. And for those who haven’t donated before, this is your chance to start. You don’t need to be a hero — but let’s be honest, it’s pretty close.
You just need to be 18 and healthy and be prepared to give up to 45min of your time! It’s a great mini health check — each donation includes checks on your hemoglobin levels, blood pressure, and general wellbeing.
And yes, there’s a Nippy’s juice, hot food, coffee machine and a treat in it for you afterward!
Join the EMC Lifeblood Team: my.donateblood.com.au/app/myteams_homeSearch for “Elisabeth Murdoch College” and sign up — it only takes a minute.
If you’ve already donated, share your “why.” Whether it’s personal, powerful, or simply about helping others, your reason might inspire someone else to take the leap.
Let’s continue to grow our team, support our community, and save more lives together at the Frankston Lifeblood centre.
The EMC spirit is strong — let’s show it where it really counts.

Traffic Safety
Students:
As we continue to focus on safety at our school, be reminded about the importance of being aware of your surroundings, especially during busy times like the end of the school day and before school.
Some students are crossing the parking areas and walking behind vehicles on College grounds which can be very dangerous.
Please remember to use the designated crossing areas marked by yellow lines, and make sure to look both ways before crossing.
Additionally, please be mindful of your surroundings and avoid distractions, like looking at your phones, while walking.
Your safety is our top priority, and we all need to do our part to keep our school environment safe.
Community:
As a community, we seek your support to ensure the safety of school children is a priority. This is especially important in the peak morning and afternoon periods.
Please be aware that Police will be increasing their presence around the College. We seek your support to ensure you are obeying road rules, this includes:-
- Not exceeding the maximum 40kmph speed limit during designated school times
- Not stopping in the bus bay on Warrandyte Rd to let children out of your vehicle
- Not performing illegal U-turns
- Stopping at school crossings (which are controlled by Council School Crossing Supervisor staff)
Langwarrin Community center redevelopment project
Parents and carers please DO NOT park in the Langwarrin Community Centre car park.
The community centre is already short of parking spaces for their own clients and staff due to renovations.
Thank you for your support.
