Wellbeing over the school holidays

As we wrap up another fantastic term, we want to reflect on the strong connection between learning and wellbeing at CPS. We know students learn best when they feel known, noticed, safe, supported and that they belong.

Throughout the term, our teachers have continued to build a strong understanding of each student, including their strengths, needs, interests and what helps them feel supported, challenged and ready to learn. Knowing our students well helps teachers make thoughtful decisions about how best to support their learning and wellbeing each day.

Our wellbeing learning this term has included Respectful Relationships, bullying prevention, emotional regulation, friendship and inclusion, stereotypes and prejudice, help-seeking and learning connected to R U OK? Day.

The holidays are a valuable opportunity for children (and adults!) to slow down and recharge after a busy term. Time with family and friends, rest, play, being outdoors and stepping away from some of the usual demands can all help children return feeling refreshed and ready for Term 4.

Thank you to our CPS families for your ongoing partnership in supporting the wellbeing of our students. I would like to wish all of our students and families a safe, happy and restful break. I look forward to continuing our wellbeing work together in Term 4.
