On Monday, the 23rd of March, Whittlesea Primary School was thrilled to welcome players from the Carlton Football Club for a very special visit. Students had the exciting opportunity to meet Matt Duffy, Liam Reidy, Wade Derksen, and Rob Monahan.

The session began with an engaging Q&A, where students asked thoughtful questions and gained insight into life as professional athletes, including training routines, teamwork, and perseverance. The players also spoke about their lives outside of football, sharing their personal interests, hobbies, university studies, and the importance of friendships. They highlighted the value of balance, showing students that success comes not only from Sport but also from learning, personal growth, and positive relationships.
Following the Q&A, students were excited to receive autographs from the players. The highlight for many was heading outside for a game of kick-to-kick, where students had the chance to show off their skills and enjoy some fun, active time with the Carlton players.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Miss Dyer and Ms Northridge for organising this fantastic experience for our students. It was a memorable day that inspired and delighted everyone involved!

F-2 Mini Cross Country
On Wednesday, 1st April, the F-2 cohort will be having their own mini cross-country. The students will run laps and collect points. Parents are invited to watch from 2:30 pm on the oval. We will finish the cross country with a mini dance party as a fun way to celebrate. The students are invited to wear their house colours.

It has been a close fight for the end-of-term title, with only 16 points separating
1st and 2nd. Who will take the lead heading into Term 2???
