Assistant Principals' Report
Rae Gittos & Matt Kirkright
Just a quick reminder that next week we will have an early finish @ 2.30 pm on Thursday, 2nd April. Then Friday 3rd April is GOOD FRIDAY (& the start of our school holidays)

Progressive Reports will be available to families via Compass from 3:30 pm on Wednesday afternoon. These reports provide an early snapshot of how students have settled into the school year, with a focus on key learning dispositions and behaviours.
As these reports are based on Term 1, they are designed to give families a clear understanding of how their child is approaching learning and engaging in the classroom. The report will also serve as a helpful starting point for discussions during our upcoming Parent-Teacher Interviews on Tuesday, 22 April. Bookings for parent-teacher interviews will open on Wednesday afternoon, and you will be notified via Compass.

We encourage families to review the report prior to Parent-Teacher Interviews, as this will support a more meaningful and productive conversation about each student’s progress and next steps, ensuring that every student is maximising their learning and wellbeing outcomes.
Whittlesea Primary School has joined the fundraiser to support The Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal to raise funds for those in need. Please sponsor me and support my efforts to give back and change lives.

Every dollar raised will help support the Hospital in four key areas:

• State-of-the-art equipment and technology
• Groundbreaking research
• Education and training for staff development
• Patient and family-centred care programs

We have been asked to share the following information:

Swinburne's employment-based Master of Teaching (Secondary is supported by the Victorian Government through the Teach Today & Teach Tomorrow (TT&TT) initiative (click here for further details). The program is designed to grow a local teaching workforce. Candidates train while remaining embedded in their communities and, through a Permission to Teach arrangement in their second year, gain hands-on experience in local schools. For schools facing workforce challenges, this is a practical pathway to attracting teachers who are already part of the community and more likely to stay.
We are hosting a community webinar on Monday, 13 April at 7.00 pm, for people in priority LGAs who may be interested in exploring this pathway further.
