Thank you to our whole school community for helping make World Maths Day such a fantastic success. It was a day filled with creative thinking, teamwork and plenty of mathematical fun.
Students from Years 3 to 6 took on our Amazing Race challenge and successfully navigated their way around Australia. Working in teams, they solved mathematical clues that tested their number knowledge and problem-solving skills. Their enthusiasm and collaboration were wonderful to see.
Throughout the week, students created some incredible maths art compositions. Using 2D shapes, symmetry and fractions, every class produced thoughtful and eye-catching pieces that showed the beauty of mathematics in everyday life. Our lunchtime guessing competitions were very popular.
Congratulations to the following winners:
Ava J (KB)
Sienna M (3B)
Bodhi B(3G)
Cameron (4G)
Nate M (6W)
Vivian M (6B)
As a school, we are proud to share that we raised $160 for Project Compassion. Thank you for your generosity and for supporting such an important cause.
World Maths Day reminded us of the many ways maths connects to curiosity, creativity and community. Thank you to all students, staff and families for making this celebration so memorable.
