Buildings and Grounds Update

Funding has been allocated to Heathmont College as part of the Department of Education's Planned Maintenance Program (PMP). This means the Victorian Schools and Building Authority (VSBA) will pay for works around our College deemed a priority to make the College safer, more functional and more aesthetic. The works will be undertaken by the Johns Lyng Group. 

The scope of works includes:

• repair of the large retaining wall separating the library and canteen area
• repair and cleaning of roof spaces and drainage (A Block, C Block, J Block, D Block, Sport Centre and Stadium)
• cleaning and repainting of the sport centre
• upgrading of some of the electrical switch boards
• replacing / repairing some of the undercover walkway roofing and structural columns
• replacing / repairing some of the hand rails
• other works including some small paint jobs and repair work

Works are currently underway and likely to finish early/mid next term. While there has been some minor disruption, the College is working with the Johns Lyng Group to ensure most disruption occurs outside of school hours.
