Celebrating our Volunteers

National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering and was held from 19 to 25 May.

This week provides an opportunity to shine a light on the important contributions that volunteers make to our communities and serves as a call to action to encourage and invite people not currently volunteering to give it a go.

Last week we proudly celebrated National Volunteers Week through the provision of a special morning tea. This forum enabled us to celebrate and acknowledge the contributions of the many members of our school community who have volunteered, and continue to volunteer, for their highly valued time to support our students, staff, families and school since the start of the year.

The morning tea was well attended and enabled me, and members of the School Executive Team, to thank our wonderful volunteers in person for the time, dedication and unwavering support that they offer in so many ways to assist with the functioning of our school.

For those volunteers who were able to join us for the morning tea, and those who were unable to attend, we express our sincere gratitude for your contribution to the life of our school and for the endless hours of voluntary time that you provide to support our school community.

Thank you.

Kind regards,

Mr Scott Downward
