Primary School

Over the last two days, we have welcomed the team from MSP Photography at our school to capture the students and staff in the annual School Photo Days. From family photos, individual photos, group photos and a whole school photo, the team has been busy working their way through the busy schedule. We are aware that some students have been absent on either day and rather than missing out, parents can contact MSP Photography directly on (03) 5482 3190 to discuss alternative options.

Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program

Many of you may have noticed some fresh planting in our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden beds. With the support of some knowledgeable and passionate parent volunteers and students in Year 3 and Year 4, the garden beds have been filled with a selection of herbs and winter vegetables.

Now it is time to wait as we watch the vegetables grow!

Peer Support

“On Monday during period 5, the Year 6 students met in their peer support groups and spoke with the younger students about what reconciliation means. After their discussion on the floor, they moved to the desks and completed a colouring activity linked to Reconciliation Week.”

Interschool Netball Tournament

“On Friday, we participated in the EDNA netball competition. The Year 5 and Year 6 teams had an amazing time! During the competition, we played against other schools. It was a great opportunity to showcase our skills outside of school. Thank you to all the coaches and teachers who supported us throughout the day—we really appreciated it.”

Primary Assembly

On Thursday 22 May, the Primary School community connected at the first Primary Assembly of this term. I would like to congratulate Cash Dorward, Chanter House Captain and Stella Smith, Perricoota House Captain, for confidently running the Assembly.

We enjoyed beautiful performances from Eli O’Sullivan on piano, Drumline B, who showcased their performance in readiness for the local Ripple Fest, and The Year 4 Rock Band, who rocked out to the hit single 'APT', a dynamic and upbeat piece originally by Bruno Mars and Rosé.

Primary Co-Curricular Captains Alby Bull and Holly Pritchard encouraged the students to contribute to the local Coat & Blanket drive and Mr Cadd shared the Term 2 Co-Curricular programs on offer.

The Year 4 students prepared a video in which they shared their honest reflections about the newly introduced Year 4/5 Sport Program. It was wonderful to hear that the students have taken full advantage of the many different options this program has to offer. We look forward to our next Assembly on Friday 20 June when the Year 1 students will perform for us.

Congratulations to the students below who received a Core Value Award for consistently demonstrating one or more of the School’s Core Values and Motto. Keep up the great work!

Stage 2 Assembly

Recently, our Year 3 and Year 4 students came together for their Stage 2 Assembly — a wonderful celebration of all the amazing things happening in our classrooms! Students shared some fantastic work, and it was evident that much effort and creativity had gone into their pieces of work. Citizenship awards were handed out to students who have shown compassion, respect and integrity since the start of the term.

Congratulations to Charlotte Batten, Aiden Dullard, Alex Lindberg, Abigail Nicholls, Sophie McKee, Logan McMaster, Stacey Attalh, Nina Duffy Oporto, Grace Pike, Hamish Moon, Addison Coburn, Mea Whitelegg and Isabelle Nevill. To wrap things up, a fun game of Celebrity Head (Teachers Edition) was played which was a lot of fun. A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped make it such a special gathering.
