Physical Education

Hi families,

5/6 Bike Education:

At the end of Term 1, 5/6s finished off their PE Bike Education unit with a ride to Lillydale Lake or Balcombe Reserve. Everyone showed confidence on their bikes and were safe and responsible road users, which made the ride smooth and enjoyable. All groups worked well together, staying aware of their surroundings and supporting each other along the way.

Students demonstrated skills such as signalling, balancing, and road awareness. It was such a fun day that encouraged students to get around their local community, travel to school, stay fit, become more independent, and make friends.

A huge thank you to the parent helpers, Mr Frost and Miss Jasmine who rode to and from Lillydale Lake twice in a day!

5/6 Summer Sports:

In the last week of Term 1, Grade 5/6 had their District Summer Sports Day!

It turned out to be a beautiful day in the sun that provided lots of fun.

Everyone gave their best effort when competing in the 4 different sports on offer.

Well done all teams for your huge effort and congratulations to the volleyball team who got through to the next stage.

District Tennis:

On Wednesday 29th of April, Rolling Hills sent seven 5/6 students to District Tennis.

The seven students should be incredibly proud of themselves. Not only did they achieve outstanding results, with two students progressing through to the final and advancing to the next round, but they also demonstrated exceptional respect, sportsmanship, determination and resilience throughout the day.

It was an outstanding day and a proud moment to see these students represent both themselves and the school in such a positive and impressive way. Well done to all involved.

Cross Country:

Tuesday the 28th of April, we had our Cross-Country! The school was a sea of colours with everyone wearing the colours of their house. Everyone gave it their best effort and had lots of fun on such a beautiful day!

Thank you to the parents who helped out, we couldn't have done it without you.

Congratulations to those who got through to District Cross-Country on the 15th of May at Lillydale Lake.
