2026 Kids “Bee and Honey” Holiday Workshops at Bay and Bush Nature Retreat

Discover a hands-on learning adventure where children explore the world of bees and honey production, guided by our experienced beekeeper.

Participants will:

• Suit up in protective gear and visit a live beehive
• Hold bee frames, observe bees at work, and try to spot the queen
• Learn about the lifecycle of honey bees, their roles within the hive, and the importance of pollination
• Gain an understanding of why bees and other insects are vital to our ecosystem
• Take home a Bee Workbook to continue learning

The session concludes with a tasting of honey straight from our hives.

Workshop Details:

• Ages: 5–15 years
• Duration: 90 minutes
• Includes: Apiary guided tour, tea break, honey tasting, and Q&A
• Cost: $48 per child
• 8th & 9th of April at 9:30 (If slots fill, please reach out and we can make arrangements).
