It has been an exceptionally busy time for the Music Department as we make our final preparations for the Annual Concert on Monday night! Our choirs are in fine voice, and our instrumental ensembles are sounding amazing. Those joining us for the concert are sure to enjoy a spectacular evening showcasing the diverse talent of our Performing Arts students.
The Concert will be held at the Melbourne Recital Centre in Southbank on Monday, 17th August at 7:30pm. Tickets are almost sold out, but there are still limited seats available.

Amado brothers achieve outstanding state results
Congratulations to Lucas (6M), Thomas (5M) and Henry Amado (4G), who achieved excellent results at the 2026 Victorian State Solo & Ensemble Championships, hosted by the Victorian Bands’ League.
Competing both individually and in ensembles, all three boys walked away as State Champions achieving the following results:
🥇 Thomas Amado – State Champion, Under 12 Other Brass
🥇 Lucas, Thomas and Henry Amado – State Champions, Under 15 Quartet/Quintet
🥈 Henry Amado – Second place, Under 10 Any Brass
🥉 Lucas and Thomas Amado – Third place, Under 15 Duet/Trio
The results reflect the boys’ commitment to developing their musical skills, with months of practice and preparation behind their performances. It was also a great opportunity for the brothers to perform together across several ensemble categories.
Their mum also acknowledged the important role played by the wider Kilvington community: “While they competed independently, I also want to acknowledge the positive influence of Kilvington’s instrumental tutors, ensemble directors, and classroom teachers. The encouragement and guidance provided have helped shape their confidence and skills, and we are grateful for the role you play in their development. Thank you for continuing to nurture their love of music.”
Well done to Lucas, Thomas and Henry on their impressive results!
