This term, our Prep students have been exploring the exciting world of Chemical Science! They have been investigating the properties of different materials and objects through a range of hands-on experiments and activities.

Students have been exploring whether materials are see-through, partly see-through or not see-through, and have been practicing using scientific language to describe how different materials look and feel. They have also been investigating absorbency, testing which materials soak up water and which materials do not.

Students have been learning about whether objects sink or float. They have been making predictions, testing different objects, and discussing why some objects sink while others float.

It has been wonderful to see their curiosity and enthusiasm as they discover more about the materials and objects around them!
