CGSAV Volleyball

Junior A and Junior B made it to their respective Grand Finals, however, they both came runners up.  A special shout out to Kaini L for her determination and resilience (she was often diving to save the ball and giving it her best, even though she had not played volleyball before), and to Sophie F for her excellent serving and digging (she often came on and changed the whole game around!).

Strong representation for the Intermediate teams with the B team playing consistently and winning each of their games, including the grand final.  The girls worked well as a team and were really encouraging of each other with every point.  Audrey M was awarded best player in the grand final.

Intermediate Coach

The Senior teams played with determination and passion, with some of the Year 12’s playing for their final time for CGSAV.   Although they did not bring home the trophy, they supported each other and then cheered on the remaining teams in the grand final games, showing great Academy spirit.

Partner Schools Mixed Netball

Some of our Year 10 girls combined forces with the Simonds College boys to compete in the annual mixed netball competition.  There was some tough competition and although the teams were not successful on the score board, they made up for this with teamwork and enthusiasm.  All of the girls said they had a great day and were keen to play again next year.
