New Resources

Hello Families, how cold has it been lately? It is a great time to snuggle up with a book though! This week the children were treated to a number of new library books/resources. As you can see below, they wasted no time in getting their hands on it!

During our session this week, the children were introduced to the 2026 Book Week theme which is Symphony of Stories. Symphony of Stories means many different voices, characters and ideas coming togther to make one big beautiful story. To help the children undertand the theme, we watched a video where different musical instruments came together (similar to an orchestra) to support the drawings and they understood the theme straight away! Next week we will explore another shortlisted book on the list, cant wait!! Stay warm everyone.

Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge

We have 61 children registered! A huge thank you to all our parents who have enabled this fantastic effort. 

The Challenge is open to all Victorian children from birth to Year 10 and aims to help young readers develop a lifelong love of reading. It is not a competition; it is a personal challenge for children to read a set number of books by  Friday 4th  September, 2026.

It's not too late to join. If you would like your child to participate in the challenge, can you please return the note to the school office or via email. Then your child will be registered to participate in  the challenge.

Library sessions for 2026 will be held on Thursdays. Please kindly remind your child/children to return their books on the day.
