Wellbeing and Belonging at Sacred Heart
At Sacred Heart, we know that positive friendships are the foundation of wellbeing and belonging. When we choose kindness, respect, encouragement and inclusion, we help create a school where every person feels safe, valued and connected.
Together, we continue to build a community where everyone knows they belong and where each of us can grow, learn and flourish.

Teaching & Learning – Term 3
As we commenced Term Three, staff continued to strengthen collaborative planning through facilitated sessions with Kate Korber. These sessions provide valuable opportunities for teachers to work together, deepen curriculum knowledge and ensure learning experiences remain engaging, purposeful and aligned with the Victorian Curriculum Version 2.0.
Our whole school Inquiry focus this term is "Caring for Creation: Biological Science." Students are exploring the living world through rich, hands-on learning experiences that encourage curiosity, investigation and a deeper appreciation of God's creation.
Inquiry Focus Questions:
Foundation: How are animals amazing?
Year 1 & 2: How does science help us to understand living things? (plants)
Year 3 & 4: Why don’t all living things grow up the same way?
Year 5 & 6: How do living things adapt to survive and thrive?
Teachers are also planning excursions and authentic learning experiences that will further enrich these units throughout the term.
Term 3 Wellbeing Focus
This term, we have introduced several new wellbeing initiatives to strengthen our culture of belonging. Our whole school positive behaviour reward system celebrates students who demonstrate values of Kindness, Respect and Responsibility, while each class has selected a value to focus on throughout the term.
We are also pleased to welcome an additional student counsellor each Thursday and have expanded our lunchtime clubs with the introduction of Chess and Craft, following student feedback.

Road Safety Reminder
The safety of our students is everyone's responsibility. As we continue to experience busy drop off and pick up times, we kindly ask all families to observe the school zone speed limit and take extra care when driving near the school.
Please remember that children can cross the road unexpectedly, so your vigilance is greatly appreciated.

Foundation (Prep) 2027 Enrolments
Enrolments for Foundation (Prep) 2027 are now open. If you know a family with a child starting school next year, we warmly invite them to contact the school to arrange a tour and discover all that Sacred Heart has to offer.
Little Learners Club
Children aged 3–5 years and their parents or carers are warmly invited to join us for a fun morning of play, learning and connection.
