Leadership Update

We are excited to launch our new school website.
Our website has been designed to be a valuable source of information for both current and prospective families, with the hope of providing easy access to important school information, news, events, policies, and updates.
You can visit the website here: https://www.gsps.vic.edu.au/
We will continue to regularly update the website with new information and resources throughout the year. Together with Compass, we hope the website will continue to support communication with families and make it easier to find the information you need.
We welcome any feedback on the website as we continue to develop and improve it. If you have any suggestions or notice anything that could be improved, please contact us at geelong.south.ps@education.vic.gov.au.
If you are unable to find the information you are looking for on either Compass or the website, please don't hesitate to contact our friendly office team, who will be happy to assist.
School Council is seeking feedback from families and our school community to help guide future planning and decision making at South Geelong Primary School. We encourage you to complete the following Google Form and share your thoughts.
South Geelong PS - Community Consultation Form
The feedback form will remain open until Tuesday 23rd June.
Hard copies of the form can be arranged through the front office, and if any families require assistance interpreting or completing the form, please contact the school. Thank you for your support.
Congratulations to the students who attended Somers Camp and represented our school so proudly. We are incredibly proud of the way you embraced the experience and demonstrated our school values.
A special thank you to Mr Gall for giving up his time to attend Somers Camp and support our students. Opportunities such as this would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of staff who go above and beyond for our students.
During periods of rain, we will move to a wet weather timetable to help keep students safe and comfortable, although we try to avoid this where possible. We will remind students to stay on paved areas and avoid puddles and muddy sections of the yard.
To help keep children comfortable throughout the day, we encourage families to pack a spare set of clothes in their child's bag in case they do get wet or muddy during recess or lunchtime.
We also ask that all clothing, particularly jumpers and jackets, are clearly labelled with your child's name, as these items can easily be misplaced at this time of year.
Thank you for your ongoing support and assistance.
A reminder we are now accepting Foundation enrolments for 2027. If any current families have a child starting Foundation (Prep) in 2027, please visit the office to collect and complete an enrolment form. You can also find enrolment forms on our website - https://www.gsps.vic.edu.au/page/9/Enrolment-Information
If you know of any families considering joining our school community in 2027, we encourage you to let them know we are now accepting enrolments. Please note that enrolment forms are due by Friday the 31st of July.
