Confirmation Celebration

Congratulations to Isabella, Isabelle and Ella on making their Confirmation over the weekend. It was a beautiful evening, with Bishop Mark presiding. The girls looked radiant in their white dresses and read with confidence and grace.

The Sacrament of Confirmation continues, strengthens and celebrates the gifts of the Holy Spirit received in Baptism. Through this sacrament, the bishop lays his hands on the baptised person and prays that the Holy Spirit will fill them with spiritual gifts. Then, using holy oil, he marks a cross on the forehead as a sign of faith and commitment. It is also customary for those being confirmed to choose a saint’s name—someone whose life serves as an example of faith and who can intercede for them in prayer.

Each of the girls thoughtfully chose a saint who inspired them, selecting names that hold personal meaning and significance.

We were proud to celebrate this special milestone as a parish community at Mass on Saturday evening and again as a school community on Monday morning.

Thank you to everyone who supported the girls at Mass and to those who dressed as their favourite saint. It was a wonderful way to honour both the Sacrament of Confirmation and our school feast day—All Saints' Day.
