Harry Potter Day: A Magical Celebration
This year, our student Literacy Leaders, proud members of the Reader’s Revolt Club, worked hard to organise a wonderful Harry Potter Day on Friday, July 2nd. The event featured a variety of enchanting lunchtime activities that captivated both students and staff, creating a memorable experience for all.
Participants were delighted by an array of activities, including a whimsical photo booth dress-up station where they could transform into their favourite Harry Potter characters. Creative minds enjoyed making Harry Potter-themed bookmarks as well as intricate origami. The competitive spirit soared during the Kahoot competition and the "Guess the Character" quiz, challenged everyone’s knowledge of Harry Potter’s world.
Students also lined up to be sorted into their Hogwarts houses and then had a go at creating potions, allowing budding witches and wizards to imagine their own magical brews, adding a touch of alchemy to the day.
We extend a special thank you to our dedicated Year 12 students, whose exceptional crowd management and infectious enthusiasm brought great cheer and energy to the event. Their leadership and efforts ensured that everything ran smoothly and that everyone enjoyed the magical atmosphere.
Overall, Harry Potter Day was a great success. It was a wonderful opportunity for our school community to celebrate the joy of reading and the enduring magic of the Harry Potter books and films. We eagerly await the next event our Literacy Leaders will conjure up!
