Father's and Special Friend's Day!
A big thank you to all our families for joining our St. Mary's community in this year's celebration of all Fathers and Father Figures. Thank you to our Year 1 PnF team for kicking off the day with a beautiful breakfast gathering and to our School Choir for their beautiful performance.
We thank you to Fr Martin for leading our liturgy and to our amazing Year 2 teachers and students for all their hard work in preparing and leading our liturgy. Thank you also to our Year 6 Friendship Leader, Remy Fernando for sharing her beautiful reflection about the role of Fathers and to Richard Morris (Father of Freddie Morris - Year 2) for his warm-hearted reflection of Fatherhood.
We hold in prayer all fathers and father figures, asking God’s blessing upon them as they continue to guide, love, and nurture their families.
God of love, as we celebrate Fathers’ Day,
may we appreciate the many ways that your face is shown to us through our fathers’ love. We pray for your blessing on all our fathers and father figures here today and all around us.
For those who struggle with being fathers, give them strength.
For those who are distanced from their children, give them comfort.
For those who have passed from this world, give them peace.
Bless all fathers and all who care for children.
May they be patient, kind and trustworthy,
Understanding and strong in faith.
Grant that they may inspire their children to be loving and caring,
always looking to help those in need,
and respecting the dignity of everyone they meet.
We ask this prayer through Christ our Lord.
Amen
Sacrament of First Eucharist
On behalf of our St. Mary’s community, we hold in prayer our Year 4 students, together with some of our Year 5 students, who will be celebrating the Sacrament of Eucharist.
The gates to the blue basketball courts will open at 2:15pm.
A gentle reminder to please bring along your child’s Sacramental Stole.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated Year 4 team for their support in preparing our students, and for making the Student Reflection Day such a meaningful experience.
We also extend our gratitude to Fr. Martin for leading our Family Information Session and sharing such wisdom and insight into the Sacrament.
Finally, we thank all of our families for their continued support and for playing such an important role in the faith journey of our students.
