Prep and Year 6 Buddies

Our Year 6 students have been supporting their Prep buddies to create dioramas as part of their Inquiry Unit on living things. Each diorama showcases an animal's habitat, with students carefully including the essentials every living creature needs: water, food, shelter, space to move, and fresh air. They are looking forward to presenting their diorama's in Week 9!

Year 1

Some big boxes at school were headed for the recycling bin, but Mrs M had a different idea: “No! We’re going to use them for Art!” The Year 1s have been learning about the difference between a 'house' and a 'home'. A home is a building, whereas a home is a safe place where we belong. Our Year 1s have been busy upcycling the boxes into creative houses. Working in groups, they planned and collaborated to bring their ideas to life. We can’t wait to share the finished creations at our Art Show in Term 4!

Year 2

Thank you to our Year 2 students for leading our Fathers’ and Special Friends’ liturgy so beautifully. It was a wonderful celebration of the love, guidance, and joy that dads and special friends bring to our lives. Please enjoy some heartfelt words from our Year 2 students:

Luna: I love my dad because he lets me go on his phone and play on his different apps. I love playing chess!

Honor: Thank you, Dad for always being there for me. I hope you have a good Father's Day! You rock!

Freddie: Thank you, Dad, for all you do for me. Especially when you tie up my shoelaces (usually seven times!) while I’m playing footy.

Shoutouts

Congratulations to Mary Imbesi, who competed in her second troupes competition on August 24. Her troupe placed 2nd in Ballet and 3rd in jazz. Mary said that she felt very nervous before the performance, but pumped afterwards!
