Year 4 News
The Year 4s have had a very busy term.
In week one we went on a fabulous excursion to NGV and ACME. We went there to look at various forms of art.
On the 13th of August we caught a public bus to the Brighton Town Hall to view the Prehistoric Bayside Exhibition. We learnt about fossils and where to find them in the Beaumaris area. We even got to keep a fossil!
On the 5th of September, 10 lucky year 4s got to attend the School Sustainability Festival at the St Kilda Town Hall. We were able to celebrate environmental and student leadership achievements. We got to share knowledge, ideas and inspiration with students from other schools.
Thirteen students received their First Eucharist on the 7th of September. We spent a lot of time learning about the meaning of Eucharist and enjoyed decorating the church and preparing for the Mass.
On the 12th of September we had a busload of residents and carers from Sacred Heart visit us. We got to give them a sneak peek at our Art Show. On display were the chickens that we made at Sacred Heart earlier in the term!
One of our Home Learning tasks this term was to choose an object from the past that has a story to tell – an object that was personal to their family. Students were asked to find its 'story' and share it on a poster.
