Year 5 News

Throughout the year, our Year 5 Social Justice Leaders have been making regular visits to the Sacred Heart Aged Care facility. 

The students have been forming wonderful connections with many of the residents and each time they visit their confidence to interact with the residents increases. 

Throughout our Who We Are Unit of Inquiry, we have explored the importance of human connection and learnt about the impact that these visits have on the residents, as many of these people do not have visitors. 

The students have shown care, compassion and open-mindedness and have embraced the opportunity to create connections. 

They can see the impact these visits are having and have commented on the residents' beaming smiles and excitement when they visit.

The students should feel proud that they are taking action within our community and making a difference.
