Congratulations to the students in Year 7 & 8 who received their bronze & silver awards. Keep up the good work!
Rotary Trivia
Staff had a fantastic night at the Rotary Trivia Night which raised funds for the school’s Safe Driver Education Program. The more experienced team (i.e older members) came a very respectable third!! And our very own Mr James Kelly was an excellent compere. Thank you so much Tenterfield Rotary and everyone who supported the night - this program is so important for our young people!
Aboriginal Educational Leadership
Staff from THS and TSHPMPS underwent an Aboriginal Educational Leadership course designed to improve Aboriginal outcomes in schools on Friday 30 May. Both schools have come away with some excellent tools and actions to implement. It was particularly meaningful to be working on this during National Reconciliation week.
Army Band Performance
The Band of the First Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery! This talented group of Army Reserve musicians performed a free concert at Tenterfield High School MPU on 22 May.
Attendees were treated to a lively mix of rock, pop, jazz, classical and military music lots of fun for all ages!
Empowering our Students
On 20 May, as part of our Educational Pathways Program, our Year 10, 11, and 12 students had the incredible opportunity to attend an information session with Legal Aid. They learned about their rights and responsibilities in the workplace, covering important topics such as:
Wages and entitlements
Work safety
Types of discrimination and harassment
Where to find support
We believe that equipping our students with this knowledge is essential as they prepare for their future careers. A big thank you to Legal Aid for providing such valuable insights!
