And that’s a wrap for 2024!
What an amazing year it has been. It has been an honour to see the Walton students kick so many goals this year, including serious academic success, which was highlighted in the 2024-year 12 exam results. Students have achieved phenomenal sporting success, as seen through the Rugby Academy and inter-school sport engagement. Students have lived the HPSC values and as a result, the Walton team are extremely proud.
Here’s a final wrap of the 2024 year!
Leadership Camp:
Last week the 2025 student leaders attended a camp at the Phillip Island Adventure Resort. On this camp, students participated in activities such as canoeing, archery, initiative courses and the giant swing! Students also had time to bond as a group and did some forward planning for the 2025 year.
Gumbuya World:
Last week, years 7 – 9 students attended the Gumbuya World excursion. This was a very fun day for the students and a great way for them to celebrate the successful year that 2025 has been.
Awards Night:
Tuesday 17th of December is HPSC’s awards night. Students will be awarded excellence awards for subjects, learning habits and learning growth improvement. Additionally, our 2025 leaders will be formally announced to the HPSC community!
2025 Return Date
Year 7, 11 and 12 students return back to school on Wednesday 29th of January.
All other year levels begin Thursday 30th of January.
Reminders Homework club runs on Tuesday and Thursdays in 2025. Please come along!
Book Reviews
We are in URGENT need of student book reviews! Please read a book, write a review, take a photo and send it to Mr Antill! Let’s get Walton winning the book review points again in 2025
Uniform, Lates and Attendance
A reminder to please ensure all students are following the correct school uniform. Ensure you are either in the academic uniform with black lace up shoes, or the sports uniform with runners, not a mixture of the two.
Enjoy! I hope all students, parents/carers and the wider HPSC community have a very well deserved break. Enjoy the sun, be safe and prepare for what is going to be a fantastic 2025.
