Deputy Principal Staff and Students Report

CHILD SAFETY
As a school we are currently working through one month at a time each of the 11 Child Safe Standards. Standard 1 is listed below has been on February 2026 focus and as we move into March 2026 Standard 2 listed below is our focus.
Standard 1 - Organisations establish a culturally safe environment in which the diverse and unique identities and experiences of Aboriginal children and young people are respected and valued.
Standard 2 - Child safety and wellbeing is embedded in organisational leadership, governance and culture.
If you have expertise or interest in one of these areas and or would like to share or work with us, please contact me at the College. We are always very happy to have parental input into our Child Safety Team.
CAR PARK
We continue to have a very busy and overflowing car park each afternoon. A reminder to please consider meeting your child in a safe place off campus close to the school to make things quicker and more efficient for all.
PARTNERSHIP
Parents, Guardians and Carers are the first educators of their children and as a school we support Parents, Guardians and Carers as the primary educators. For the best results for students, school and parents/families work together.
As a school there are frequently meetings with Parents, Guardians, Carers and teachers, and conversations on the phone and emails. Often a meeting gives us the opportunity to hear information that is helpful for us in the classroom for the learning and care of your child. At times the conversation also opens up Parents, Guardians and Carers to a different perspective, as there are always different angles we can view and incident or issue from.
We encourage Parents, Guardians and Carers please do not hesitate to contact and meet. The more we are working together the better and often the earlier we get onto issues the better the outcome. If any issues of concerns or points that you would like to share please do not hesitate to contact the relevant staff member at the College.
We thank Parents, Guardians and Carers for your support especially in the areas of organisation, completion of class/homework and uniform. We are continuing to as a school to be working towards improvement and growth for all individuals and as a community. Thank you for working with us.
