Hi Prep parents,

This fortnight in reading we continue to decode by blending sounds we know. We have also been learning about word families by changing the onset & rime. You could practice rhyming words at home or in the car by playing games and changing the first sound (the onset).

In writing we have started drawing and labelling our pictures from left to right across the page. Learning to sequence stories in order and write from left to right gets us in practice for when we start writing sentences in 2nd term.

In Maths we continue our measuring unit by measuring weight, capacity and time.

This week we have talked about the 7 days of the week, 12 months and the 4 seasons of the year.

Don't forget, that next week the Preps will be participating in Gymnastics lessons. Please ensure they wear shorts or leggings, have their hair tied back and no jewellery. Thankyou!
