Grade 3 | Blackwood

This term in Grade 3 Blackwood we have been engaging in a book study on Charlotte’s Web. We are learning lots of new vocabulary and are reinforcing our knowledge around the structure required when writing a narrative text. We have recently learned about anthropomorphism, a literary device which is the act of giving human traits, emotions, or actions to non-human things like animals. 

We have been able to connect our book study with Science and Art where we have investigated living and non-living things. We really enjoyed creating mosaic pictures of dinosaur skeletons by tearing up and sticking down white paper. We love the story of Charlotte’s Web so far and can not wait to learn more as the story unfolds.
