Melbourne’s epic winter festival is back!

Firelight Festival is Melbourne’s premier free winter event, renowned for its vibrant multicultural atmosphere, cosy and ambient experience, and inclusive community engagement. From towering luminous creatures, roaming performances and fire dancers, to genre-bending live music and interactive storytelling, the festival invites audiences of all ages to explore, connect, dance, and bask in the warmth of winter together. 

Our regular substitute teacher, Anna Manuel, will be storytelling at Monument Park. Gather around as she delivers  interactive fire-themed stories and music that warm the heart and ignite imagination.

Firelight Festival takes over Docklands for three fiery nights from 4–6 July 2025, across sites at NewQuay Promenade, Victoria Promenade and Harbour Esplanade. Firelight is a free event that does not require bookings. Simply turn up and enjoy free entertainment all night long! See the program here.
