Student Celebrations

We love celebrating our students' achievements both in and out of school! If your child has recently been involved in any accomplishments outside of school, we'd love to celebrate them in the newsletter. Please email nicolle.brown@education.vic.gov.au 

Regional Cross Country 

Remi and Thea from Grade 6 took part in the regional cross country carnival at Kilmore racecourse. To qualify, they had to finish in the top 12 of school, district and division races. They ran their strongest races of their campaign on the day in an incredibly competitive field. 

They have been incredible role models and ambassadors for our school in the way that they conducted themselves in competition and were so diligent in their training. Congratulations Remi and Thea!

Introducing: Carlton Gardens Chess Club

We’re thrilled to officially launch the Carlton Gardens Chess Club!

🗓 Fridays at lunchtime (1:20pm – 2:20pm)

📍 PAC Room

♟️ Led by Kaisar (4B) and Aidan (2B)

Students of all skill levels are welcome, whether you’re preparing for interschool tournaments, looking for more practice, or just playing for fun! Our first session was a blast, and we can’t wait to see more students joining in. Come learn, play, ask questions, and enjoy the chess atmosphere!

🏆 Coming Up: Victorian Junior State Championship

The Victorian Junior State Championship, the biggest chess tournament in the state, will be held from 17–19 July. It’s a one of a kind opportunity to sharpen your skills and compete for the title of State Champion.
