Paddock 2 Plate (P2P)
In week 5 the Senior P2P team moved through a few challenges with school photos and
a few rare power outages. Students showed up with forward momentum and clarity,
embracing the unexpected kitchen power outage. Seniors have, in this last fortnight,
assisted with prepping dinner roll dough, which was an absolute winner paired with
reheated zucchini soup. Thank you to Carter and Jasper for preparing the soup for us all
to enjoy. The senior class worked amazingly well preparing shortbread tart casings for the shared lunch also.
As much as the outage meant that we didn’t complete the planned KFC chicken with
grilled vegetables, we have KFC mix ready to use when this best works in week 8.
Students were excited by the prospect of having this tasty meal. We have talked
through the process and I have showed them the prepared KFC seasoning mix which I trust they will enjoy.
Super effort to all of the Seniors for the shared lunch. A massive effort done with grace.
Champion effort by all of you! Maybe I could be a little proud of the P2P team.....just a
little bit!
In week 5 juniors P2P shared the leftover zucchini soup and bread rolls. Thank you to
Lily and Zahli for preparing the bread dough and Ava for assisting with the beginnings of
the whole orange mini cupcakes that we got to make and share at the ‘shared lunch.’
Juniors worked well as teams ensuring that everyone had a go at scooping the mixture
into the molds. Thank you for this treat we got to share together and with others we care
about. Juniors have planted marigolds from seed to encourage insects into our garden.
Super efforts!!

The Menu
Entree: Spinach ricotta, sausage rolls and zucchini slice with homemade tomato sauce
Mains: Roast potatoes in jackets with bolognaise sauce and sides of cheese, sour cream and simple slaw
Dessert: apple slice tarts
Students were so looking forward to sharing their food creations with their ‘special
connection’....and the experience was powerfully positive. I have much joy watching all
of the interactions as students engage with all parts paddock to plate. Of note...Caleb
and Ashton showed fantastic initiative in getting the tables set up, chairs sorted, table
cloths, plates and cups. For this I am awarding them P2P Champions for this fortnight.
This is a valued skill, coupled with check-ins along the way. They were completely unprompted and very thoughtful in their approach.

22/5/26 - Caleb and Ashton, for showing initative in P2P setting up tables, chairs, plates and cups wihtout being asked. Thankyou!
