Strum-thing Special is happening in Music!

The Grade 5/6 children have been learning to play the ukulele as part of the music program. Learning to play an instrument such as the ukulele helps students develop important skills such as listening, coordination, rhythm and concentration, while also building confidence and creativity.

The children were excited to discover that just after their very first lesson, they were already able to play a simple song together! They now have many in their repertoire to play! They have learned how to hold the ukulele correctly, strum basic rhythms, and play their first chord C. It has been wonderful to see the children encouraging one another and enjoying making music as a group.
