On the Sporting Field

It has been another outstanding period for sport at Kilvington, with students achieving success across athletics, swimming, golf and EISM competition. Most importantly, our students have continued to represent the School with enthusiasm, resilience and sportsmanship at every opportunity.
EISM Division 1 Athletics Carnival
Our Athletics squad recently competed at the EISM Division 1 Athletics Carnival, arriving bright and early for an 8:00am start and taking on some of the strongest school athletes in the competition.
Division 1 is an exceptionally competitive standard, with many competing schools having significantly larger student populations than Kilvington. Against this backdrop, our 7th place overall finish was a fantastic achievement and a testament to the dedication of our athletes and coaching staff.
Across the day, Kilvington students achieved an impressive 33 podium finishes, including 5 first places, 9 second places and 19 third places.
Congratulations to our event winners:
- Tamsen Bowman – 1st Triple Jump
- Cameron Littlewood – 1st 200m B
- Christian Williams – 1st Shot Put
Maggie Harrison – 1st Long Jump and 1st 100m B
Our athletes also enjoyed relay success, with the 16 Boys 4 x 100m Relay finishing 2nd and the 16 Girls 4 x 100m Relay placing 3rd.
Thank you to Emma McLaren and our coaching team of Gemma Craddock, Millie Pummeroy and James Cooper for their excellent preparation and support throughout the season.
EISM Grand Final Success
Kilvington teams enjoyed an outstanding finals series, with students from Years 7–12 competing in grand finals across a range of sports.
Congratulations to our premiership-winning teams:

We also congratulate our Year 7 Boys Badminton team and all other Grand Finalists who competed so strongly throughout the season.
Across every match, our students displayed determination, teamwork and respect for their opponents. Their conduct reflected the values we strive to uphold at Kilvington and made our school community incredibly proud.
Congratulations to all students, coaches and staff involved in another highly successful season of sport.
State Swimming Success
Kilvington was proudly represented at the Victorian Schools Association Competition by Ben Huang and Lucas Wang, who competed as members of the EISM representative team against the strongest school sporting associations in Victoria.
Ben achieved outstanding results, finishing 4th in Victoria in the 50m Breaststroke, while also earning bronze medals in both the 4 x 50m Breaststroke Relay and 4 x 50m Medley Relay.
Lucas also contributed strongly to the EISM team, helping secure a 5th place finish in the 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay. Congratulations to both students on representing Kilvington with distinction on the state stage.
Congratulations to our amazing Years 3–6 cross country team!
On Wednesday 13 May, 50 of our Years 3 - 6 students travelled to Elsternwick Park to represent Kilvington at the Balaclava District Cross Country Carnival. Our students have been training hard after school and on Friday mornings, showing outstanding enthusiasm, commitment and dedication throughout the season.
We were lucky to enjoy perfect sunny weather on the day, and our team achieved fantastic results, competing against seven other schools in the district and proudly winning the Small Schools Trophy!
A special congratulations to Year 4 student Ralph Hopkins, who placed 3rd in the 10-year-old age group and will now go on to represent the Balaclava District later this month. What an incredible achievement!
A big thank you to our coaches and staff for supporting the students, attending the day and cheering on our awesome team. We are so proud of everyone involved!
