District Athletics

On Friday, August 15th, a group of 43 students from years 3-6 traveled to Newport Athletics Track to compete in the annual district athletics competition. Some students participated in the field events of long jump, triple jump, high jump, discus, and shot put. While others participated in the track events of 100m, 200m, 800m, hurdles, and 4x100m relay. 

It was a full day of events, and all the students at SMDP competed in their best spirits and gave it their best. Some students who finished 1st or 2nd have now qualified to compete at the Hobsons Bay division level, which will be held on Thursday, September 11th, at Newport Athletics Track.
