Basketball Divisionals Recap - SMDP

Place: Altona Sports Stadium

People in the team: Nainika, Tahan, Mehr, Freya, Afreen, Ciara, Vanshika, Sofia.L, and Anisha 

Our team this year gave it their all during these basketball divisionals, showing teamwork and resilience in three competitive matches.

Game Highlights

Game 1: SMDP vs Seabrook (14-35)

At the start we got a head start and were in the lead but then it became tough beating them since they were able to easily shoot into the hoop while our defence was weak. We learnt from our mistakes but they were a strong team.

Game 2: SMDP vs Stella Maris ( 19-34)

We improved a little bit this time learning from our mistake with our defence so we made it more stronger but they were and even tougher team. We sadly also lost it but we didn't give up.

Game 3: SMDP- Sacred Heart ( 12-40)

This was one of the toughest teams to beat. They were a really good team but despite the score, our team continued to push forward and support each other on the court. We’re all proud of our team effort.  

Even though we didn’t come out on top, the experience was like if we were in a basketball tournament and the place was exquisite. We’re proud of each other since we did try.
