As we approach the end of another wonderful year at Kingswood, I want to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes to each and every one of you. The holiday season is upon us, and it's a time to reflect on the year gone by, celebrate the achievements of our students and express gratitude for the supportive community we are fortunate to have.
This year has brought both challenges and triumphs, but together we have navigated them with resilience, determination and the unwavering support for our incredible students. We are immensely proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our students, teachers and staff members throughout the year. Your commitment to the success and well-being of our school community is very much appreciated.
Dance Party
Thank you to all community members that turned out for our Dance Party Night. A special thank you to School Council for organising it and Parent Association for donating left over ice creams. Thanks also to all our Year 4 and Year 5 student volunteers that helped with promotion, food and security at Cosentino Hall. It was a great evening of people coming together and an opportunity for our community to see our new gymnasium. We look forward to using it from the beginning of next year.
Assembly
Our final assembly on Wednesday 20th December will be in this new space. Please be aware that there will be no audio or seating on the day and any parents attending will need to stand. This last assembly will include Year 6s setting off poppers and Year 5s finding out their leadership role for 2024.
As we gather with loved ones during this festive season, may the spirit of joy and togetherness fill your hearts. May the laughter of children, the warmth of family and the joy of shared moments create cherished memories that last a lifetime.
Looking ahead to the New Year, I am excited about the possibilities and opportunities it holds for our school community in 2024. Kingswood is in a very good position to keep moving forward for years to come. Together, let's continue to foster a nurturing and supportive environment where our children can learn, grow and thrive whilst demonstrating grit in the face of adversity.
I would like to express my deepest appreciation for your ongoing partnership and collaboration. Your involvement in your child's education and the broader school community is invaluable and I am grateful for the positive impact you have made.
I would like to say goodbye to our fantastic Year 6's who are wonderful examples of the type of children we want leaving Kingswood. We say goodbye to 43 families for the final time. We wish you all well. It is also time to recognise our departing staff at the end of 2023. The following staff will be leaving us: Ryan Nugent, Elinor Hansen, Jenna Herbert, Melissa French, Natalie Potenzi and Louise Roupas . We would like to collectively thank these staff members for their various years of service and wish them well on the next stage of their careers.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, a joyful holiday season and a Happy New Year filled with hope, prosperity, and new beginnings. May the coming year bring you and your family continued happiness and success.
Thank you for being an essential part of the Kingswood family.
