THREE State Cross Country Runners to represent St Joseph's School!

Gallery Image

This Thursday, 16th July, three of our students have progressed through each of the levels in the cross country events starting at our St Joseph's School Cross Country back in May, then qualifying for the Phillip District top 10, then the Southern Peninsula Division top 10, then the South Metro Region top 10 to now qualify for the Victorian State Finals in the Cross Country.......an extraordinary and unprecedented occurrence!

We wish them all the very best as they compete to qualify for the Australian National Cross Country Championships this week held at Yarra Valley Racecourse, Yarra Glen.

Best wishes to all three of these wonderful long distance athletes:

Hamish Murphy - 9/10 Year Boys (2 km event)

Competing among 52 of Victoria's best cross country runners, the marshalling is at 11.05am, with the race start at 11.25am.  What a great and determined long distance runner you are, Hamish.  I'm sure you will do us and yourself proud!
