Welcome Back to Term 3

Welcome back to Term 3! We hope all our families enjoyed a relaxing break and are ready for another exciting term of learning. We look forward to a term filled with new opportunities for students to explore, question and grow.

This term, our whole-school Faith Based Inquiry explores the theme Places through the lenses of Diversity, Connection, Geography and Catholic Identity. Students will investigate how places influence our identities, shape communities and connect people across local, national and global contexts. Through this inquiry, they will develop a deeper understanding of the rich diversity within Australia and around the world, while considering how our Catholic values encourage us to foster belonging, inclusion, respect and care for others.

Our learning will also be enriched by the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, providing an authentic context to explore the countries and cultures of the Commonwealth. Students will investigate geographical features, traditions and histories, while celebrating the diversity that brings people together through sport. The Games offer valuable opportunities to discuss resilience, teamwork, fair play and respect, and to reflect on how shared experiences can strengthen connections between people and communities.

We look forward to an engaging and inspiring term as students discover more about the places that shape our world and the important role they play in creating welcoming, connected communities.
