A Message from the Thrive School Counselling Team

As we approach the end of Term 3, we'd like to wish all students and families a happy, safe, and enjoyable holiday break!

The school holidays are a wonderful opportunity to rest, recharge, spend time with family and friends, enjoy favourite hobbies, and make time for the things that bring you joy. Whether you're travelling, catching up on sleep, playing sport, gaming, reading, or simply taking things a little slower, we encourage everyone to take some time to look after their wellbeing.

A few simple ways to support your wellbeing during the holidays include:

  • Staying connected with family and friends.
  • Getting plenty of rest and maintaining healthy routines.
  • Making time for physical activity and fresh air.
  • Balancing screen time with offline activities.
  • Doing things that help you feel calm, happy, and recharged.

As many young people spend more time online during the holidays, it's also a great time to remember the importance of staying safe online. Be mindful of who you're communicating with, think carefully before sharing personal information, and don't hesitate to reach out to a trusted adult if something online makes you feel uncomfortable or worried.

Remember, support is always available if you need it. Some helpful services include:
