3/4W Highlights: Term 3
What a wonderful Term 3 we have had in 3/4W! We have explored new topics, challenged ourselves, celebrated our love of books and created lots of special memories along the way. We asked the students to reflect on the term and share some of their favourite things!
Sienna: District athletics (shot put and discus), swimming, excursion, free time and brain breaks.
Phoebe: Sport and the excursion.

As part of our History unit, we have been learning about the First Fleet, the establishment of Australia and the explorers who played a role in shaping our history. Students each chose an explorer to investigate further, researching their life, journeys and achievements. They then used their research to write a biography exploring the explorer’s impact on Australia, both in the past and today.
To finish off our learning, we travelled into the city to visit the Ian Potter Gallery at the NGV. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect our classroom learning with real artworks and expand our understanding of Australian history.
Book Week
Book Week was a wonderful celebration of stories and characters! It was fantastic to see everyone dressed up as their favourite book characters and sharing their enthusiasm for reading. We had the opportunity to discuss the characters we dressed up as, learn more about the books they came from and draw our own versions of these much-loved characters.
