Mounted Games Take Centre Stage at Melbourne Royal Show

Pony Club Victoria’s Mounted Games riders had an exciting opportunity to showcase Pony Club at the Melbourne Royal Show on Sunday 3rd October, taking to the Main Arena for a fantastic demonstration of Prince Philip Mounted Games races.

The demonstration gave the Melbourne Royal crowd a taste of the speed, skill, teamwork and excitement that makes Mounted Games such a great part of Pony Club. Our riders and ponies did a wonderful job representing Pony Club Victoria in front of a large audience and promoting both Mounted Games and Pony Club to the wider community.

Adding to the fun, members of the Mounted Police joined our riders for some of the races! It was fantastic to have them riding alongside our Pony Club members and getting involved in the action, making the demonstration even more memorable for our riders and everyone watching from the crowd.

Congratulations to our riders

Thank you!

A very big thank you to all involved at Pony Club Victoria for organising and coordinating the demonstration and making it possible for our Mounted Games riders to have this opportunity.

Thank you also to all of the parents, riders and volunteers who gave their time to attend and support the demonstration.

Finally, thank you to all of our Pony Club families, friends and supporters who came along and cheered from the crowd. Having plenty of Pony Club support around the Main Arena helped create a fantastic atmosphere for our riders.

It was a wonderful opportunity to put Pony Club Victoria and Mounted Games on show at one of Victoria's biggest events, and we hope the demonstration inspired a few new riders to give Mounted Games a go!

A huge thank you to Stuart Goggin for providing photos from the event.
