Principal's message
Dear Families,
Here we are, the last day of the 2023 school year. It is this time of year that we farewell our Year 6 students and wish them well as they head into High School. Staff and families celebrated their growth and achievements last night at the Graduation Ceremony.
We also have a number of our Intensive English Language students who are exiting into their local mainstream schools and some families who are returning to their home countries. We have enjoyed getting to know the students and their families and have loved watching the students develop their English language capabilities. We wish each of them continued success in their education.
We also have some students who are moving onto other schools. We also extend our best wishes to these students and their families.
As at the end of each year, we also farewell some staff.
This year we say farewell to the following teaching staff: Mr Collier, Ms Karina, Mr Yerrell, Ms Shirley (currently on Maternity leave), Ms Belinda, Ms Chong and Ms Yakuta.
We have enjoyed the opportunity to work with each of them and appreciate their commitment to the students in their classes. We wish each of them every success and much happiness in their future roles.
We are also farewelling some of our School Support Officers. We thank Ms Tahlia, Mr Lincoln, and Ms Sophie for their commitment to, and support of our students. As each of them are soon to complete or have completed a teaching degree, we hope to get the opportunity to work with them in some capacity again in the future.
To our families that are celebrating Christmas, we hope that the Festive Season provides you with the opportunity to relax and spend time with family and friends.
To those not celebrating, we wish you a safe, enjoyable and relaxing summer holiday.
If you are travelling, please take care and stay safe.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 2024 school year on Monday 29 January.
Kind regards,
Terena Pope
