Indonesian

This term in Indonesian we were delighted to welcome Bu Ani from our Indonesian Bridge Partner School, SD Al Syukro Universal to visit the school. Bu Ani spent time with different classes, including sharing some postcards from her students with students in G2 and G3. The students have written postcards to send back to the students at Al Syukro. Bu Ani also shared the experience of Sports Day with us.

In Indonesian lessons, Y6 and Y7 have created bilingual Indonesian/English instructions for a sport or game of their choice, while G2, G3, G4 and Y6/7 have learned how to talk about what sports they like to play and when and where they like to play them. Junior primary students learned about different feelings and in the last few weeks have had fun acting out a story about a sad crocodile and illustrating individual pages to create a class book of the story. As always there has been lots of singing and games that help the students to remember the language they are learning.
