Premiers Debating Challenge Results - Round 3

St Johns Verbal Warriors versed Fairfield West Wranglers in the Premiers Debating Challenge. The topic of our first debate was 'That we should never allow any primary school-aged person to have or use money'. We argued against the topic and successfully won the debate. 

Congratulations to Juliana, Richard, Amber and Tim on their debating skills and win.

 

St Johns Park Verbal Warriors Shine in Round 4!

This week, our talented St Johns Park Verbal Warriors faced off against the Mount Pritchard Clever Cookies in Round 4 of the debating competition. The topic was 'That primary school teachers should use lollies and chocolates as rewards in class'. 

We are thrilled to announce that our team of Juliana, Amber, Lucas and Elizabeth emerged victorious! 

With this win, we remain undefeated and proud zone winners. Next up, we will be taking our skills to the regional competition. 

We are so proud of their dedicated spirit and we wish them all the very best.

Capture Fairfield Photography and Art Competition

We are thrilled to share some exciting news regarding the Capture Fairfield Photography and Art Competition! 

On Tuesday, 29 July, our talented students Hunter from 1/2T and Addison from 5P had the honour of attending the Council meeting held at the Fairfield City Council Chambers Administration Centre. During this event, they were announced as finalists in the competition, showcasing their remarkable creativity and artistic skills.

We are proud to announce that Hunter secured 3rd place in the Primary Arts category, while Addison also earned 3rd place for Primary Photography. This is a fantastic achievement that highlights their hard work and dedication.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the students who submitted their outstanding artworks for the competition. Your creativity and effort are truly commendable!

Spelling Bee Finals

On Wednesday, 18th June, 2025 our school held a thrilling Junior and Senior Spelling Bee competition in the hall. The event was filled with excitement as students showcased their spelling talents in front of a supportive audience of parents, teachers and fellow classmates.

Senior Finals: The Senior Finals featured an impressive lineup of competitors from 5/6T:

  • Connor

  • Juliana

Congratulations to Juliana from 5/6T, who emerged as the Senior champion! Her remarkable performance and composure under pressure earned her the top spot.

Junior Finals: The Junior Finals saw spirited participation from:

  • Caitlyn (4/5V)

  • Averie (4C)

  • Daniel (3K)

  • Kerem (3H)

  • Liam (4B)

We are thrilled to announce that Averie from 4C took home the title of Junior champion! Her dedication and spelling skills shone brightly throughout the competition.

 

Both Julianaand Averie will represent our school in the regional finals, competing against other schools in Term 3.
