Public Education Week

Public Education Week is an annual celebration of NSW public education and the achievements of our schools, teachers and students. This is a time to come together and celebrate the strength, diversity and achievements of NSW public education.

This year’s theme is 'Ignite your potential'.

Last week, we celebrated many great events with our community. It was fantastic to have our community support our students and the school in different ways. This included six students becoming either Principal, Deputy Principal, School Administration Officer or General Assistant for the day. The students truly did a fabulous job at running the school for the day! Mrs Donatiello, Ms Presot, Mrs Ryan, Mrs Gallo and Mr Jankulovski, you provided a great experience for our future citizens.

Another fun event was our Walkathon. We were very fortunate to have sunny weather and everyone walked many laps! The step and lap counts were through the roof. Good luck to all students in the raffle next week.

A big thank you to Mrs Krishan for her organisation.

All week, in our school hall, we celebrated students' learning through a work display. This included all classes such as RFF, Community Languages and Diverse Learners.

Thank you to Mrs Karavellas, Mrs Choueiri and Mrs Ryan for organising such a great space to celebrate our students' learning!

Finally, our open classrooms and P&C morning tea wer a great success. Thank you to our hardworking teachers and generous P&C committee for designing a welcoming and engaging session. As a bonus, our choir performed to showcase their talent and dedication this year. Miss El-Khoury continues to deliver exceptional music opportunities for our students.

Let's continue to work together where every student is supported to learn, grow and thrive.
