District Cross Country

On Friday, May 8th, we competed in the Altona District Cross Country Carnival along with 5 other schools. The competition runs each year for students in the Under 9/10, Under 11, or Under 12/13 age groups. 

We selected 24 students for the carnival, where the students competed in a 2km or 3km run at J.K. Grant Reserve, depending on their age group. At the event, ribbons and progression to the division cross country are awarded to the students who finish in the top 10.

We had 10 students progress: Sam, Ivy, Selina, Yanet, Claudia, Sajid, Sofia, Aoife, Xavier and Tracy. All of the students who progressed will compete at Werribee Racecourse on Thursday, May 28th. During each race, our runners received points for our school, and we collected enough points to finish 3rd overall, which is a fantastic result.
