The staff were very happy to be able to enjoy the prizes from the last newsletter’s music challenge as no children participated. Keep your eyes posted for future competitions!

Our 2026 band intake students should be preparing for their upcoming performance at the 2/3 assembly.  We are aiming to play Hot Cross Buns, Au Claire De La Lune and Donkey Round. Flute students will play ‘What Mary Had’ from First Flute Flutters, and Hot Cross Buns from the Accent on Achievement Book. If prepared, they may also play the other pieces with the band as well.

Our piano students will perform at the K-2 assembly. Pieces dependent on practise and progress. 

Seniors have commenced their new piece La Bamba.  Please make sure your children are clapping the rhythms and saying ta or ti-ti before they play each new bar. 

As always, it is a joy for Mrs Thomsen to see children so surprised and excited when they realise that if they practise regularly, they will succeed.  Please encourage your children to practise multiple times per week.
