Division Cross Country

On Thursday, May 28th, a group of 10 students from Years 4 to 6 travelled by bus to Werribee Racecourse to participate in the Hobsons Bay Division Cross Country.

In our Under 10s group, we had Samuel running the 2 km, which was a little over one lap of the racetrack. 

In our Under 11s, Claudia, Ivy, Selina and Yanet ran for the girls, and for the boys, we had Sajid. In this age group, students are required to run 3km, which is one and a half laps of the track. 

For our Under 12s age group, Sofia, Aoife and Tracy ran confidently in the girls race and a big congratulations to Sofia, who finished 6th in her race and will move on to the Western Metro Regional carnival. 

Xavier ran in the under 12s age group for the boys. He finished strong and finished 25th. 

All our runners should be extremely proud of completing the run. It isn’t easy running on a racetrack, but they all tried their very best and represented St. Martin de Porres really well.
