Student Leaders Breakfast
On Thursday, 21st May, our Student Leaders enjoyed a delicious breakfast with Elise and myself. It was a chance for them to chat about their roles, share their hopes and dreams and reflect on their accomplishments to date. We are proud of their commitment to help guide and support the students of SMDP and the dedication they have shown in their roles. Thank you to our Student Leaders for all they bring to our school community!!
Attendance at SMDP!
The MACS Vision for Engagement statement calls for all students to be actively engaged in their learning, so they can be equipped to thrive and make meaningful contributions to the world.
One area of the Vision for Engagement is Focusing on Attendance.
Consistent attendance is critical for academic achievement and students’ sense of belonging, connection and self-efficacy.
Each day missed by a student means valuable learning time is lost. Regularly coming to school late can also impact on learning. Our hope is for all our students to experience success and feel proud of their academic accomplishments and to know that they are a valuable member of our SMDP community.. Regular attendance is vital for our students to flourish.
Thank you to you all for the efforts you make in this space, it is truly appreciated. Please reach out to us if we can offer any support or guidance.

Every year, all schools in Australia participate in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD). The NCCD process requires schools to identify information already available in the school about supports provided to students with disability.
The NCCD will have no direct impact on your child and your child will not be involved in any testing process. The school will provide data to the Australian Government in such a way that no individual student will be able to be identified – the privacy and confidentiality of all students is ensured.
